Jason P. Woodbury is a writer, podcaster, copywriter, and DJ in Phoenix, Arizona. He is the co-host and producer of the Aquarium Drunkard Transmissions podcast and a contributing editor at the long-running Los Angeles music blog. Woodbury handles social media and copywriting for Zia Records, a chain of independent record stores in Phoenix, Tucson, and Las Vegas. He is former music editor of the alt-weekly Phoenix New Times, where he oversaw award-winning music coverage. His work about pop culture and music has been published by Pitchfork, Desert Oracle, Relix, Comic Book Resources, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Tucson Weekly, Tiny Mix Tapes, FLOOD Magazine, and other publications. Woodbury has written liner notes for Light in the Attic Records, and contributed writing to projects by Polyvinyl Records, Jealous Butcher Records, Autumn Tone Records, and other labels. He was the co-host and producer of the Audio Ranch, a weekly radio program featuring Arizona music historian, scholar, and DJ John “Johnny D.” Dixon.
